I’m a Mexico-based solo female travel expert, magazine editor and content creator, who prefers getting to know a destination via slow travel, rather than more fast-pace, on-the-go tourism.
I inspire and help women build the skills and confidence to move abroad and create the remote life they’ve always dreamed of.
Since 2018, I have worked as a professional sensitivity reader, partnering with authors, publishers, and organizations to ensure stories reflect people with accuracy, dignity, and complexity. I also offer select developmental editing for private clients seeking deeper structural feedback.
As a Black, queer, American woman, I bring lived experience shaped by intersections of race, sexuality, class, chronic illness, and mental health. I earned my BA in English and Theater from The New School, and my career has included ESL education, customer service, sex work, and journalism-experiences that inform how I evaluate character, voice, and representation.
My writing and commentary on race have appeared in Sixth Tone, Al Jazeera’s The Stream, and Business Insider. Sensitivity reading clients include Scott’s Cheap Flights, Zagat, Suzanne Roberts, Penguin Random House, The Christian Science Monitor, and Lionsgate Films.
