I’m a Mexico-based solo female travel expert, magazine editor and content creator, who prefers getting to know a destination via slow travel, rather than more fast-pace, on-the-go tourism.

I inspire and help women build the skills and confidence to move abroad and create the remote life they’ve always dreamed of.

Best Onward Ticket: The Travel Hack You Didn't Know You Needed

I’m personally not as big into travel hacks as I should be, but I recently came across one that is too good not to share. When it comes to traveling long-term, one of the trickiest issues you may face has to do with visas and entry requirements. Many countries have a requirement that visitor show a roundtrip ticket or proof of ongoing travel out of their country within a certain period of time.

This can become quite the issue if for instance, you are more into slow travel and don’t want to tie yourself to another destination before you even explore the first one you are going to. To get around this some people will buy a refundable plane ticket to show proof, but I don’t like this option because I’m forgetful and would rather not play with my money in such a way. Thankfully a service exists that can help give the illusion of onward travel.

What Is Best Onward Ticket

The process is pretty straightforward. For a mere 12 dollars, a real airfare ticket is generated for your and emailed straight to your inbox, practically within minutes. Besides your payment, very little information is needed from you upfront. Just input your name, desired dates, and departing airport. From there a computer generated ticket to a random destination will be sent to you. For a few more dollars though, you can choose your specific destination. The reservation generally lasts for 48 hours but you guessed it, for a fee, you can choose your destination. And for another small fee, you can extend the reservation beyond 48 hours.

My Experience

I’ve used this service myself in the past and am happy to say the process was speedy. After inputting my information, I was emailed an itinerary within minutes even though it says it can take up to two hours. I even had to ask for them to do a correction, adding in my middle name, and was re-issued a ticket with the same speediness.

Overall, I think this is an affordable travel hack for nomads or travelers on the go. Check out their site for more information or to book your onward ticket today.
