Keep your mind, body, and spirit sharp with these free online classes and trial subscriptions
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’re well aware of Corona, the virus that’s been sweeping the nation(s), f*cking up everything from immune systems, to economies, psyches and everything in between. If nothing else, this virus has reminded us that when it comes to nature and life, we really have no control. Like most, I’m currently safe indoors, self-isolating and doing my part to “flatten the curve.”
As a work from home writer spending most of my time indoors isn’t that far of a departure from my normal day-to-day. I’ve even spoken about how self-isolating has helped me to focus and get serious about my mental health and career. As much as I’ve gained from being alone with myself and disengaging with the world, the who concept of self-isolating hits different when it’s imposed by law, and not of my own personal choice.
Nevertheless, since this is starting to look like the new normal (at least for a while,) I’ve decided all this extra time would be a waste if I didn’t come out of it a better person in some way or another. Here’s a list of free online classes and trial subscriptions that will get you on the path to self-improvement and fulfillment while stuck at home during this pandemic.

If You Can Move
When this COVID-19 business first started heating up, I let my exercise routine fall to the wayside. I reasoned with myself that not working out was fine considering my mind was pre-occupied with more pressing matters. But after about two weeks of minimal physical activity I remembered that I’m 33, not 23, have health problems, and need to move my body if I want to live. Literally. Even before we were all forced inside the house, online workout videos were my fitness option choice. Keaira Lashae, one of my favorite online fitness trainers is offering a 7-day free trial to her online dance-fitness gym If You Can Move.
